Yesterday afternoon, in the Green Lake neighborhood of North Seattle, a rally/parade was held for Barack Obama. We were treated to some lovely Fall weather, turnout was great and the mood was very festive. But what made this event especially interesting was that it was for and about kids of all ages. The kids did a great job keeping the adults under control and out of trouble. Follow me over the fold to see more photos from this fun event.
The event started with some arts and crafts tables in which kids were encouraged to create a sign for Senator Obama. Here's a diligent young artist at work...
This is my daughter enjoying some creative time...
Here's a justifiably proud young lady showing off her finished product...
Check out the excitement on the faces of this brother and sister...
Lest anyone forget, Obama rocks!...
Soccer players and preschoolers were in the house...
The teenagers showed up too...
And not to be outdone, the tots came out in full force...
Really, anyone with half a brain is supporting Barack...
Here's my family walking in the parade, with my daughter showing off her "Jonas Brothers Fans for Obama" sign...
What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Hats off to the organizers!
